Privacy policy
Last updated: 1 October 2026
This policy explains how C7 Studios ("we", "us", "our") collects and uses personal data when you visit c7studios.co.uk or contact us. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your information in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
C7 Studios is a film production partnership between 7VEN Productions and Castle Productions Films Ltd, based in the United Kingdom. For the purposes of data protection law, C7 Studios is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us about anything in this policy at hello@c7studios.co.uk.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry through our website or by email, we collect the information you choose to give us. This is usually:
- your name and email address
- your company name and phone number, if you provide them
- the services you are interested in, your budget range and details of your project
Our hosting provider also processes basic technical information when you visit the site, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is used to deliver the website securely and is not used by us to identify you.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and discuss your project.
- To prepare quotes and proposals you have asked for.
- To keep a record of our correspondence with you.
We will not add you to a marketing mailing list without your separate consent, and we never sell your personal data.
Our lawful basis
We process enquiry details on the basis of our legitimate interests in responding to people who contact us, and where you are asking about our services, to take steps at your request before entering into a contract. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
Who we share it with
We only share your data with trusted service providers who help us run our business, and only as far as needed:
- Vercel Inc., which hosts this website.
- Our email provider, which delivers website enquiries to our inbox.
- Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that enquiries come from real people rather than spam bots. It processes technical information such as your IP address and browser details for this purpose only.
- Members of our production team, where needed to plan or quote for your project.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a client, in which case we keep records for as long as needed for the project and our legal and accounting obligations (normally six years).
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address in order to deliver them. Our spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile) runs only on the enquiry form and does not use tracking or advertising cookies. If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you
- ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate
- ask us to delete your data
- object to or ask us to restrict how we use it
- ask for a copy of your data in a portable format
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent
To use any of these rights, email hello@c7studios.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
